Lot of 13 books published by The Mosher Press of Portland, Maine for Mr. and Mrs. Edward A. Woods of Sewickley, PA (a suburb of Pittsburgh), published in the 1910s and 1920s, includes 7 books printed on Japan vellum that were numbered and limited to 50 or fewer copies, also with a copy of In Memoriam by Tennyson rebound in 3/4 leather by the Monastery Hill Bindery of Chicago, also with 5 books in blue boards with printing runs of 250-500 copies. Includes titles by Dickens, Cicero, the Rubaiyat, Oscar Wilde and others. 2 books with original slipcases, all of the books on Japan vellum include their original jacket except for the Wilde. Edward Augustus Woods was an insurance agent and patron of the Mosher Press. He commissioned these books to be passed out to his friends. A beautiful collection, connecting one of the premiere American fine press publishers with the Pittsburgh bibliophile scene.
