17th century Illuminated Missal Miniatures and Stand

Missal with One Illuminated Miniature, c.17th century, folio (22 x 15.75 inches), contemporary calf over wood boards, metal edging, brass corner plates, recently rebacked with brown leather, 115 leaves, trimmed edges, pen, ink and gouache on vellum leaves, lacks original claps. Also includes large metal stand that's 65 inches tall. The missal was professionally cleaned, repaired (tears and edge losses mended, cords reinforced, new inner hinges, metal reattached) and rebacked in 2009. Provenance: The Estate of Joan Frank Apt, Pittsburgh PA.
