Charles F. Feurer (1861-1935) hand painted tole tray on later custom made table base, German/American. Tray with gilt grape vine border on red ground, late 19th/early 20th century. Splay leg black lacquer custom-made base, manufacture date likely mid to late 20th century. Signed C.F. Fuerer on tray top. With original receipt. 19.5 x 20.5 x 12 inches. Provenance: Purchased from Thomas Forshee Antiques in 1991. Boyd Estate, Sewickley, PA.
Condition
Base legs with abrasions and slight lacquer loss. Tray with accretions, abrasions, and significant enamel loss. Enamel flaking off.
