Bowers, David M. (American/Western PA, b. 1956), 2 Noir illustrations set in New Orleans, graphite on paper, both signed at lower right. One depicting a bar scene, the other depicting a smoking gentleman on Bourbon street standing next to a lady of the night and a fallen police officer. Both matted and behind plexiglass. One 15 x 12 inches, the other 22.25 x 18 inches. Bowers taught at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where he lectured for ten years and was honored as the Keynote Speaker for the Class of 2003. In 1991, David began his illustration career working mostly with book publishers in New York City in which he completed over one hundred book covers in the span of over ten years.  Also, David’s work graced the cover of numerous prominent magazines, including TIME. He has exhibited extensively in the United States and Europe. He has won numerous awards and his work is part of numerous public and private collections.
