2 early 20th century Pittsburgh streetcar/trolley two-sided signs. One circular metal "Car Stop" sign with black lettering on white porcelain enamel ground, the other square with "1 1/2 " die cut into the metal. Each with two cable attachment hinges at upper edges, one with the cable still remaining. Adding to its charm, the circular "Car Stop" sign was once used as a target, as evidenced by the dented spots and enamel loss. The Car Stop sign is 15 x 15 inches, and 17.5 inches from the lower edge to the top of the hinges. The 1 1/5 sign is 9 x 12 inches, and 12.5 inches from the lower edge to the top of the hinges.
Both with age appropriate wear and usage related loss, with heavy oxidation at hinges. Car Stop sign with enamel loss and dents where bullets hit.
