Empire style Chapman highly carved mirror, 20th century, Spain. Surmounted by an eagle over a basket flanked by a sickle and scythe, floral and foliate motif at sides and lower edge. Faux wormholes throughout, faux mirror silvering loss. Branded Chapman verso. 52 x 26 inches. Provenance: The estate of Donald T. Mervine, Western Pennsylvania, sold to benefit the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium.
