Callier, Pierre (editor), Art Documents: Encyclopedie Generale des Beaux-Arts aux XIXe et XXe Siecles, the first 24 issues, 1955, softcovers, each issue individually bound and thoroughly illustrated in black and white, mostly around 12-18 pp. The booklets are housed in the publisher's original folder and matching slipcase. Text in French. Edited and published by Pierre Cailler in Geneve (Geneva, Switzerland). Artists include: Maurice Savin, Gea Augsbourg, Johnny Friedlaender, Marcel Poncet, Hans Fischer, La Gravure (The Engraver), A. Fougeron, Paul Charlot, Theo Kerg, Albert Lebourg, Edouard Pignon, Jean Lurcat, Georges Dayez, Sigismond Kolos-Vari, Jacques Villon, Andre-Joseph Hambourg, Roger Bezombes, Louis-Francois Touchagues, Simon-Auguste, Simon Segal, Jacques Lagrange, Henri Hayden, Robert Humblot and Jean Picart le Doux. A nice collection, featuring mostly French artists. The subtitle of the journal translates to General Encyclopedia of Fine Arts in the 19th and 20th Centuries.

Condition

Booklets in good condition, secure bindings, unmarked text, paper has started to brown, but isn't brittle; a few covers and pages with foxing. The slipcase and folder are in fair condition; cracked and worn along the edges, but still secure. Merchandise will be packed and transported by the purchaser at their own risk and expense.
