An incomplete run of 38 Carnegie International Exhibition Catalogs from 1897 to 1950. Mostly hardcovers. The early years were a smaller format. Black and white illustrations. Also includes a beat up, disbound and partially incomplete copy of the First exhibition from 1896, missing the covers and a few pages at the front and back. The International was held at the Carnegie Institute in Pittsburgh, now known as the Carnegie Museum of Art. Provenance: The personal collection of Gary S. Grimes, Pittsburgh. Gary was an expert on Western Pennsylvania art, and especially the Scalp Level painters. In fair to good condition, some soil, edgewear and loosening to the bindings.
