4 Ludwig Mies Van der Rohe style MR10 side chairs. Tubular chrome frame with rattan seat and back. Mid to late 20th century reproductions after the originals which were designed in Germany, 1927. One with a Made in Italy sticker on the underside. 30.5 x 19 x 28 inches. By the End of 1926, the German-American architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe developed the Weissenhof Chair after the first ‘Kragstuhlentwurf’ by Dutch architect Mart Stam. By using a curved instead of square shaped tubular frame, in an ingeniously simple way the first resilient cantilever originated, described as MR10, which is still considered to be one of the classics of tubular steel furniture within the Bauhaus period.
