Wehrle, attributed to Fred J. (American, 1889-1974), Group of 7 Design Sketches for Home, Barbershop and Department Store, c.1930s, colored pencils on thin board, each one signed F. J. Wehrle with the address 215 West 12th St., NYC (one initialed only), images around 9 x 7 inches and slightly larger, each one in an old mat 13.5 x 15 inches, unframed. An online biography of Fred J. Wehrle says that he attended the Art Students League of New York and participated in exhibitions at Knoedler and the Armory in New York, and the St. Louis Artists Guild.
