Set of 7 Herman Sperlich for Ironrite Ironer Company ergonomic Health Chairs, American, 1930s/1940s. Constructed of enameled steel. With tilting backrests. The chairs were designed to optimize posture and ergonomics while workers were ironing. A similar example of this chair is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art. Some with original labels. 26.5 x 15.5 x 19 inches, with 17 inch seat height.
