Gruber, Aaronel deRoy (American/Pittsburgh, 1918-2011), Square Peg in a Round Hole (variation of AG 44), 1971, serigraph print with vacuum formed Plexiglas bubbles, titled, signed and dated at lower edge, this one an artist's proof apart from the edition of 35, in the original round corner black frame 29.5 x 29.5 inches. Provenance: acquired from the artist; Western PA corporate collection. This is a one off production where she added the Plexi bubbles on top of a print that she originally made in 1969.
With a crack in the plexiglass frame along the center edge from the seam extending about 3.75 inches into the image, and some accretions of dust and small insects inside of the Plexi, most notably in the lower right corner.
