Currier, after Joseph Frank (American, 1843-1909), Study from A Munich Boy, c.early to mid 20th century, oil on board, titled by a later hand on the reverse, 17.5 x 13 inches, in a dark brown wood frame 22 x 17.75. The original portrait, which was painted around 1873-1877, was exhibited at the Thirteenth Annual Exhibition of the Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh (now known as the Carnegie Museum of Art), and is now part of that museum's permanent collection.
