Alechinsky, Pierre (Belgian, b.1927) and Joyce Mansour (Egyptian/French, 1928-1986), Le Bleu des Fonds, 1968, artist's book with signed and limited print by Alechinsky housed in a translucent cylinder, hemp rope, cork slipcase and a copy of the book with an original drawing in blue ink and and inscription by Alechinsky to CoBrA art collector James Winokur on the half-title page. The book and print are both number 54 of a limited edition of 100, the book is printed on Arches and features numerous Alechinsky illustrations next to Joyce Mansour's French text. Cyclinder measures 10.5 x 2.5 inches. This copy is lacking the 2 laid-in signed prints, but is otherwise complete. Provenance: Estate of James Winokur, Pittsburgh, PA.
