Avinoff, Andrey (Russian/American/Pittsburgh, 1884-1948), The Fall of Atlantis: A Series of Graphic Impressions of the Poem, 1944, complete portfolio of 19 gravure prints, with text booklet, housed in folder and slipcase, one of 300 sets, each of the 19 prints signed by Avinoff in the lower right margin, additionally signed on the title page, images 14 x 10.5 inches, full sheets 21 x 16.5 inches. Provenance: deaccessioned from a regional institution; will include a letter of deaccession from the institution.
Two Library bookplates, each with Withdrawn stamp, affixed to the inside of the folder; former owner's gift inscription to the title page; plates in good condition, a few with light handling marks to the margins; slipcase fair to good, sturdy but worn.
