Antique 14K yellow gold lorgnette/opera glasses and chain. The handle of the lorgnette is decorated with fine filigree and engraving. Marked 14K beneath the bridge piece. Finished with a spring loaded lever and jump ring to attach a necklace or chain. The spectacles measure 1 3/4" closed, 3 7/8" open. The lorgnette measures 2 3/4" long, from the top of the lens to the end of the handle. The attached chain measures 50" in length with a decorative fob marked "1855 Patent". Total weight approx. 59.0 grams (including glass lenses).
