Pettit, after Harry McEwen, Carnegie Steel Company Duquesne Works, 1929, color photographic print on paper, mounted to a backing board, 20 x 80 inches, in a period gilt wood frame 25 x 84 inches. A rare panoramic image showing a large and bustling mill in its heyday. The original painting by Pettit was a 4 x 15 foot mural done in his trademark birds eye view style. It was recovered in 1998 in a trash bin at the Duquesne Works site by a steelworker, and now hangs in the Detre Library and Archives at the Heinz History Center.

In good vintage condition, wear along the edges, light paper loss to lower left corner, some uneven old varnish and surface grime.
