Collard, Newcastle Upon Tyne, hardcover, 8.5 x 5.5 inches, 1/2 polished calf with marbled paper over boards, double page map at front, engraved titled page, 93 pp., 30 plates, directions to binder in rear. Armorial bookplate of Matthew White, Viscount Ridley, affixed to front pastedown - he served as Home Secretary from 1895 to 1900.
