D'Arazien, Arthur H. (Turkish/American 1914-2004), Hot Saws (cutting railroad track for US Steel Corp) at Edgar Thompson Works, 1949, C-print mounted to matboard, 19 x 15 inches, signed in red ink lower right, with a copy of the Holiday Magazine October 1949 issue, Pittsburgh, with this photograph on the cover. in photo credits "I'll bet those workers at The Edgar Thompson Works in Pittsburgh were glad to see me leave. I held up production for an hour and a half, looking for the right angle, waiting for the hot cutoff saws to bite into the rail, even being choosy about which rail would be the most photogenic. I drove the safety engineer crazy by taking off my sweated up safety glasses when focusing."
