John Laughlin or John Letablere sterling silver George III plate/dish, Irish, Dublin, 1760. Hand chased with a marshalled coat of arms celebrating the marriage of Richard Wingfield, 3rd Viscount Powerscourt to Lady Amelia Stratford, daughter of John Stratford, 1st Earl of Aldborough. Scalloped reeded edges with shell motif accents. .5 x 10 inches. Appropriate marks on the underside. Approximately 16.25 ozt. Provenance: The Estate of Edith (Toto) Fisher, Pittsburgh, PA. Toto Fisher was an active supporter of the arts in Pittsburgh, and served on the boards of many of the city's most important institutions, including The Carnegie Museum of Art.

Condition

In good condition apart from some usage related abrasions and tarnishing.
