Photograph of Italian Prime Minister Luigi Luzzatti, autographed and inscribed by him to the Polish/Italian sculptor Enrico (Henryk) Glicenstein. The photo is 11 x 8 inches and is mounted to a larger sheet 20 x 14 inches. It was printed in Milan, likely around 1920. Luzzatti was prime minister from 1910-1911. Glicenstein spent time in Italy and London, among others, between leaving his birthplace of Poland in 1889 and coming to America in 1928. Both Luzzatti and Glicenstein were Jewish and rose to prominent positions in Italian society. Luzzatti was the first Jewish prime minister of Italy.
