Shahn, after Ben (Lithuanian/American, 1898-1969), The Saxophone Player, printed in the late 1950s or early 1960s after the original drawing from 1939, offset lithograph on Strathmore laid paper, signed in brown ink to lower right margin, single sheet from the Twenty American Artists portfolio which was limited to only 50 copies, image 8 x 6.25 inches, full sheet 13.5 x 10 inches, unframed, printed by The Lenmore Press, NYC, for the Walden School. Due to the small edition, prints from the Twenty American Artists portfolio rarely show up on the market.
