Dodu, Jean-Marie (text), Biblia Sacra Mazarinaea - The Gutenberg Bible, complete in 4 volumes: 2 vols of the Deluxe Facsimile of the Gutenberg Bible in full red leather bindings with gilt edges and title labels housed in linen slipcases, together with 2 vols of commentary, background and translation in red cloth bindings, all volumes 16 x 12 inches, 1985, Les Editions Les Incunables. A sparkling facsimile of the Gutenberg Bible in the Bibliotheque Mazarine, Paris. Provenance: deaccessioned from a regional institution; will include a letter of deaccession from the institution.
Two small library stamps, including one Withdrawn stamp, to the rear endpaper of the two facsimile volumes, otherwise nearly fine, tight, bright and clean copies; commentary volumes show only a small abrasion to the front pastedown from bookplate removal; slipcase very good with minor handling and soil.
