Brassai (Gyula Halasz) (French, 1899-1984), Bird [Oiseau] Graffiti, taken 1931, silver gelatin print, signed and also with numerous stamps on the verso including a pair of 81 Faubourg St-Jacques stamps and Tirage de l'Auteur, also titled in French in an unknown hand, sheet 11.5 x 15.5 inches, floated in a dark wood frame 21 x 25 inches. An exceedingly rare image. Slight planar distortion, otherwise in apparently good condition, hinged to a backing board, unexamined outside of the frame.
