Taylor, Charles J. (American/Western PA, 1855-1929), Portrait of Mrs. George Burgwin, c.1920s, oil on canvas, signed lower right "C. J. Taylor," 27 x 21.5 inches, ornately framed 32.5 x 27.5 inches. Taylor was an art professor at Carnegie Tech in the 1910's and also was the President of the Associated Artists of Pittsburgh in 1914. The subject of the painting, Mrs. Burgwin, was the first president of the Twentieth Century Club. Provenance: From the collection of the Twentieth Century Club, Pittsburgh, PA.
