Fryer, Calvin Wilberforce (American, 1867-1941), Group of 3 illustrations for magazines: Portrait of Thomas Edison, Portrait of William Ewart Gladstone and Daddy from the West New York Visit, c.1920s, the two portraits are pen and ink originals on paper, the last one is ink and gouache on paper, Edison 16.25 x 13.25 inches, the other two 14 x 11 inches, unframed. Provenance: Harry Eichleay Art Co., Pittsburgh, with their labels to each verso. Fryer was born in Westmoreland County and exhibited in the 1928 Carnegie International.
