Cesar (Cesare Baldaccini) (French, 1921-1998), Pouce [Thumb], 1965, nickel plated bronze, cast by Fonderie National Belge, height 15.9 inches tall (40.5 cm.), signed on the reverse Cesar 65, with stamp F N B Brux on reverse and stamped H S. Provenance: A. James Speyer, Chicago Il.; a member of the Speyer Family, Pittsburgh, PA. A. James Speyer was one of this country's leading experts on contemporary American and European art when he died in 1986.
