Fontaine, Jean de La (French, 17th cent), Fables: Complete in 2 volumes, Paris, Teriade Editeur, 1952, signed by Marc Chagall on the limitation page, number 77 of 200 copies, Folios, 16 x 12 inches, illustrated wraps by Chagall in original glassine covers. PLEASE NOTE: this is for the books/text only, it does NOT include any of the original illustrations which were issued in a separate suite of plates, the covers are the only parts present that were illustrated by Chagall. Despite the missing plates, it's still a beautifully produced set on Rives paper.
