Charles and Ray Eames, ESU 400-C (Eames Storage Unit) for Herman Miller, USA, 1952-1955, birch plywood, lacquered masonite, chrome-plated steel and fiberglass, second generation legs, 58.25 x 47 x 17 inches, no maker's marks or labels, a very early example of the iconic art project.

In good vintage condition, with scuffing and rubbing and soiling to the lower cabinet doors, quite sturdy, drawers work smoothly, nearly all of the original hardware (screws, etc.) is present, the 3 pulls are the same as those seen on the 2nd gen desk version of the ESU; expected scratching and signs of use to the shelves, tops and sides, some staining and abrasions to the finish; all age appropriate condition issues. Merchandise will be packed and transported by the purchaser at their own risk and expense. A list of recommended shippers is on our website: .
