Rumsey, Charles Cary (American, 1879-1922), Dancing Female Nude, 1910, cast bronze sculpture with brown patina, inscribed CC Rumsey and M.H.R. on the base and Roman Bronze Works NY on the side of the base, also stamped C. Valsuani / Cire Perdue on the side of the base, 10 x 7 x 3 inches, marked CAT 56 in an unknown hand on the underside. MHR refers to Mary Harriman Rumsey, the artist's wife. A joyous, dynamic figure, predating the Jazz Age by over a decade.
