Stiles, Ezra C. (American/Pennsylvania 1891-1974), Collection of 10 original artworks. Including: a book mockup for The Silver Sturgeon, A Phantasy of the Ojibway Indian Country, including the title page in ink, frontispiece in gouache, and pages 3, 4, and 7 in black crayon, all 19 x 12 inches; alphabet study in ink, 12 x 19 inches; 4 camping scenes and landscapes, crayon on board, all initialed at lower edge, all 11.5 x 8.5 inches. Stiles was an American landscape architect, urban planner, writer, mapmaker, and painter. In 1926, Stiles founded a landscape architecture firm in Pittsburgh and ultimately became known as one of the region's top landscape architects. His clients included several prominent Pittsburgh families and corporations.
