COR-TEN Standing Steel Sculpture, c.1970, made in Pittsburgh on the construction site of the US Steel Tower with the same trademarked steel that was manufactured at Homestead Steel Works and used for the building itself, the sculpture was made for Tony Kueshner who was one of 3 superintendents hired by Turner Construction to oversee the massive endeavor, 79 x 23 inches. This lot ALSO INCLUDES: 3 black and white photos showing the construction of the tower in various phases. Provenance: from the estate of Andrew Anthony "Tony" Kueshner, a superintendent for Turner Construction where he oversaw the building of the Sarah M. Scaife Gallery, One Oxford Centre and the U.S. Steel Tower.
