Crowninshield, Attributed to Francis Boardman (American/Boston, 1809-1877), Fanning Along, watercolor and gouache on paper, signed lower right with Crown in Shield monogram, 19 x 13 inches, matted and framed 28.5 x 22 inches, provenance: Doll & Richards Gallery, Boston. The Crowninshields were a famous clan from Massachusetts, one the Boston Brahmins, who were notable in the sailing and fine arts worlds.
