Bowers taught at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh where he lectured for ten years and was honored as the Keynote Speaker for the Class of 2003. In 1991, David began his illustration career working mostly with book publishers in New York City. He completed over one hundred book covers in the span of ten years. David’s work has graced the cover of numerous prominent magazines, including TIME. He has exhibited extensively in the United States and Europe. He has won numerous awards and his work is part of numerous public and private collections. Provenance: The personal collection of Edward J. Grzybowski. Ed was co-owner of Tri-State Antiques in Canonsburg. He was well known and respected in the field for his vast knowledge of antiques and decorative arts, particularly 20th century design.
