David Roberts traveled the Middle East and North Africa, particularly Egypt from 1838-1839 and sketched many scenes that he made into watercolors and that were then reproduced in a series of 247 lithographs titled The Holy Land, Syria, Idumea, Arabia, Egypt and Nubia, 1842-1849.
Condition
