Roberts, after David, lithograph by Louis Haghe, Citadel of Jerusalem, April 19, 1841, published by G. F. Moen, Image: 12 3/4 x 19 1/4" Paper: 17 13/8 x 24 1/4", Provenance: A Western Pennsylvania Institution. David Roberts traveled the Middle East and North Africa, particularly Egypt from 1838-1839 and sketched many scenes that he made into watercolors and that were then reproduced in a series of 247 lithographs titled The Holy Land, Syria, Idumea, Arabia, Egypt and Nubia, 1842-1849.

Condition
