Tanning, Dorothea (American, 1910-2012), The Maid Is Late Because She Laid Her Mate, 1971, color etching on Arches, signed and editioned XXIX/XXXIV in pencil to the bottom edge, image size 10.25 x 6.75 inches, full sheet 15 x 11 inches, floated in a wood frame21.5 x 17.75 inches. Originally published in the Hommage a Marcel Duchamp: monument a Christophe Colomb et a Marcel Duchamp portfolio (Paris: Editions Georges Visat).
