Ryckaert (Ryjckaert) III, attributed to David (Flemish/Belgian, 1612-1661), Lowlands Genre Tavern Scene with Fish Eaters, Drinkers and Cardplayers, oil on canvas, laid down on a cradled wood panel, 24.25 x 20.25 inches, apparently unsigned, framed 31.75 x 28 inches. Exhibited: Winnipeg Art Gallery, January 1969, with old label on the back of the frame. Provenance: Joseph Olah & Sons, Regina, Sask., Canada, 1972; private collection, Pittsburgh, PA. Laid down, otherwise in seemingly good condition, restored in 1969 with layered varnish; stable crazing throughout; scratches in the upper center.
