Exhibited: Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh, PA, with label. Menard had at least one painting in most of the Carnegie International exhibitions from 1897-1927. Also with shipping label from P. Navez in Paris to Pittsburgh attached to the stretcher bar. In fair condition overall, with a horizontal zone of dry paint, flaking and loss in the lower right quadrant; also with a general layer of surface dirt; UV inspection shows scattered inpainting, heaviest in the lower half.
