Cien, Etta Benjamin (American, California, 1924-2009), Abstract, acrylic on canvas, signed at lower right. Hillside Original stamped verso along with 17870, 922. In light gold tone frame, 32.25 x 44.25 inches. Painter Etta Benjamin Cien was born in St. Louis, MO. She lived and worked primarily in Hollywood, CA. Together with her husband, she formed "The LeRoy Brothers," a vaudeville marionette act. The LeRoy Brothers opened for Danny Thomas and such acts as Jimmy Durante, Louis Armstrong. Etta later opened "Hillside House of Originals," a framing store and art gallery where she and her husband sold their own sculptures and paintings. Their business expanded to include other artists' work with showrooms in major metropolitan cities across the U.S. Provenance: Hillside House of Originals.

Condition
