Thurston, Eugene Bonfanti (American/El Paso, Texas, 1896 - 1993), Mt Christo Rey - Monument Peak, c.1950s or 1960s, etching in blue on card, 5 x 7 inches, floated in a frame 10 x 11.5 inches. Mt. Cristo Rey is a point of pilgrimage at the binational intersection of New Mexico, Texas and Chihuahua near El Paso. The artist was a mainstay of the El Paso art community as a painter, muralist and teacher.
