20th Century European Industrial school, Steelmaking in the Rail Yard Industrial Scene, oil on canvas, 22 x 30 inches, signed lower left (initials appear to be HK), in a gilded wood frame with fluted gilding measuring 27 x 35 inches. Provenance: The personal collection of Gary S. Grimes, Pittsburgh. Gary was an expert on Western Pennsylvania art, and especially the Scalp Level and Hudson River painters. A slightly fantastical scene, reminiscent of the work of Herman Heijenbrock and Erich Mercker.
Condition
