Federal cherry and mahogany slant front desk, American, 19th century. The slant front opens to a writing surface, cubbyholes, and drawers. 4 graduated sized drawers under desktop. 41.5 x 42 x 19.5 inches. Provenance: The Estate of Edith (Toto) Fisher, Pittsburgh, PA. Toto Fisher was an active supporter of the arts in Pittsburgh, and served on the boards of many of the city's most important institutions, including The Carnegie Museum of Art.
