Mitchell, Joan (American, 1925-1992), Sam Francis (American, 1923-1994) and Walasse Ting (Chinese/American, 1929-2010), Fresh Air School Portfolio, 1972, complete with 3 original color lithographs, one by each of the artists, all are double-page and measure 15 x 22 inches. Published by the Museum of Art, Carnegie Institute, Pittsburgh; color lithos printed by Maeght, Paris; introductory text by the museum's director Leon A. Arkus. The portfolio is complete, including text sections and many black and white illustrations, all housed in the original blue covers; pages loose, as issued. Provenance: from the estate of Leon and Jane Arkus. Leon was the Director of the Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh, from 1969 to 1980.
Condition
In good condition, vertical fold as issued, missing one page of the Francis text, all pages with two very short nicks or creases at the bottom edge near the center.
