Rothe, Gatja Helgart (German, 1935-2007), Kirov, undated, serigraph on wove paper, signed, titled and numbered 238/300 in pencil along the bottom, image 34.75 x 22 inches, full sheet 38 x 24.5 inches, unframed, publisher's blindstamp to lower right corner. Founded in the 18th century and originally known as the Imperial Russian Ballet, the Mariinsky Ballet is one of the world's leading ballet companies. Internationally in some quarters, the Mariinsky Ballet continues to be known by its former Soviet name the Kirov Ballet.
