Browne, George Elmer (American, 1871-1946), The Clock Tower at Cordes, undated, c.1920s, oil on linen canvas, signed lower left, 40 x 32 inches, in a gilt frame 49 x 40 inches. Provenance: Exhibited at the Provincetown [Massachusetts] Art Association, Sixteenth Annual Exhibition, 1930, with remnants of the old label affixed to the stretcher. A beautiful image of the famous landmark in Cordes-sur-Ciel, a commune in the Occitanie region of Southern France.
