Howe, George L., Call it Treason, 1948, number 43 of an unknown edition, signed and inscribed by the author on the title page 'To La Fille du Regiment', softcover, typescript / proof edition, printed on rectos only, 387 pp. The final version of this novel was published in 1949 by Viking Press. Howe was an author, architect, and Office of Strategic Services officer in World War II. His experiences in the OSS were the basis of the novel Call It Treason, which was adapted as the film Decision Before Dawn in 1951. In good condition, covers soiled, light fading to the paper.
