Brockmann, Gottfried (German, 1903-1983), Man with Violin and Dog, c.1930, etching on paper, initialed in the plate, impression 11.5 x 9.25 inches, matted and framed 21 x 18 inches. Brockmann's work can be found in various public museum collections including Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Berlinische Galerie, Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, and others. Provenance: gift of the artist to a Jewish German family that fled Europe in 1936.
