Drayer also illustrated around 200 art catalogues and created a portrait series "Artists in the workshop" for the magazine Werk from 1940-1954. Harry Shunk and his partner Janos Kender worked as photographers documenting the artworld from the 1950s to the 1970s in the United States and Europe, producing some of the most iconic images of the post-war era. Their extensive body of work documents key artists of the time, including candid portraits of artists in their homes and studios, as well as the installation process, exhibitions, exhibition openings, performances, and events.
