Bull-Teilman, Gunvor (Norwegian/American/, 1900-1996), Floral Abstract, oil on artist's board, signed by the artist lower right, undated (c.1970), 17.5 x 23.5 inches, in a plain metal frame. Bull-Teilman was a painter, sculptor and illustrator born in Narvik, Norway. She studied art in Paris and later moved to American where, in Brooklyn in 1928, she married Norwegian poet Knut Bull Tielman. Her work has been shown at MOMA, The Whitney, Smithsonian and was part of a 1932 show at the Brooklyn Museum of Art titled Paintings and Sculpture by the Society of Scandinavian American Artists.
