Corsini, Harold (American/Pittsburgh, 1919-2008), Skiers, solarized color photograph, signed by Corsini in ink at lower right margin, 17 x 22 inches (sight), matted and in metal frame measuring 27 x 30.5 inches, the striking solarized effect makes the image look like a piece of folk art from centuries earlier. Corsini moved to Pittsburgh in the late 1940's to work on Roy Stryker's famous Pittsburgh Photographic Library, he eventually became the official photographer for U.S. Steel and later taught at Carnegie Mellon University.
